Black Bird goes physical

Limited Run Games opens pre-orders for the physical edition of Black Bird (for Nintendo Switch) on April 10th, a regular and a Collector's Edition will be available.

Panzer Dragoon, Rolling Gunner physical available for pre-order

It turns out Panzer Dragoon: Remake that launched the other day on the Switch eShop is available as a physical release on pre-order right now from Limited Run Games, pre-orders are open until April 24th and the game is available in a regular edition and a "Classic Edition" kitted with a US Sega Saturn cover. There's no real "lmit" here except the pre-order cut-off date.

 

Meanwhile, the physical edition of Rolling Gunner for Switch (a PC version is also available) is also available for pre-order from Physicality Games and pretty much not a limited item per se, it just needs to hit a certain amount of pre-orders to get made at all. There's a vanilla version and a deluxe edition to choose from. The deluxe version pictured below comes with the games awesome soundtrack.

Blazing Chrome goes physical on PS4/Switch tomorrow

Limited Run Games is at it again, giving us physical artifacts of games. In this case, Blazing Chrome both for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders go live tomorrow, September 27th, 10 am ET.

Battle Garegga goes Limited

M2s fantastic PS4 port of Battle Garegga is getting a release from Limited Run Games on May 10th.

The Limited Collector's Edition will include the soundtrack on both CD and LP and a Blu-ray with a new documentary, M2: The Complete Works, on the M2 game development team. Our old friend Serrax from Bullet Heaven has made the music for the documentary.

Battle Garegga is of course already available in physical form for the PS4 in Asia but it's not english-friendly. Depending on pricing (and i'm guessing it's gonna be mighty pricey) I might skip this even though I'd love that documentary.

So, I'm back and so is Game Tengoku and Vasara

Limited Run Games has announced that this very friday, February 1st, they will release a physical edition of Game Paradise (Game Tengoku CruisinMix) for the PlayStation 4. This is a regular edition with a special edition to be released at a later date. Of course, the game is already available in physical form from Play-Asia should you be so inclined, it's unclear to me if there are any differences between the releases.

That other Limited Release company that we all know and love, Strictly Limited Games, responded in kind with a tentative "coming soon" of a physical release of Vasara Collection for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita!

LRG opens pre-orders for physical Danmaku Unlimited 3 release in about 3 hours

As Limited Run Games announced late last year, Danmaku Unlimited 3 for the Nintendo Switch is getting a physical release. Pre-orders will be open for two weeks and start in about 3 hours.

The Game Paradise is set to arrive in the EU

Game Tengoku CrusuinMix Special Edition is (finally) heading for an official release in EU, coming November 30th.

LRG goes for broke, Super Hydorah to get PS Vita release

Popular side-scroller Super Hydorah that was released by the very same Limited Run Games on the PS4 a couple of weeks ago has been announced as a physical release for the PlayStation Vita.

The Vita isn't seeing a lot of releases these days so this is cool I guess.

Limited Run Games announces Senko no Ronde 2

Limited Run Games has teamed up with Degica Games to launch a physical PlayStation 4 version of G.Rev's Senko no Ronde 2 on April 14th.

I'm not the biggest fan of the first games but as with all things shmup, better keep your fingers on the trigger when it launches or you'll probably miss out and instead have to face the Ebay scalpers.

Super Hydorah to grace the Switch

Limited Run Games sold out of the physical version of Super Hydorah for PlayStation 4 in about a minute last friday.

The developer behind the game announced they will be bringing it to Nintendo Switch as soon as feasible. Giving LRG (who already announced they will be bringing out Switch software) a chance to make another weekend killing in the future.

In other news Danmaku Unlimited 3 has now launched on the Nintendo Switch.

If you're itching for a physical copy of Dariusburst Chronical Saviours for PlayStation 4 you can already buy the japanese release from places like Play-Asia.

Or you can pay twice as much for a western release of the same game from Limited Run Games when it goes on sale this friday.

I already own this game from the PSN store on PS4 and PS Vita, have a physical copy for Vita and the Steam release for PC so I'm not exactly gagging at the prospect of paying for it again.

But to each their own!

Astebreed physical PS4 release from LRG

As reported before, Astebreed is getting a limited run of physical copies for PS4 from Limited Run Games.

The date to watch is March 31st and it will be available as just the game or the game + soundtrack as is becoming pretty usual for LRGs releases.
